Madonna Remixes Now Available!

Madonna's "Miles Away" remixes were leaked online last week and were being illegally downloaded. In an attempt to curtail the activity, Warner Music has made the unprecedented move to exclusively offer the remixes to the online dance music retailer, Masterbeat.com.  Warner chose to partner with Masterbeat because the niche retailer was able to make the remixes for sale immediately, as opposed to retail giants, who require weeks to offer items for sale.

Check it out, I love me some dance remixes and these are THE JAM!

Ross Matthews: Mission Madonna

I thought this was pretty hilarious Ross Matthews or better known as Ross: The Intern had a mission from Jay Leno to head to Madonna's concert and touch her.  Check out the video and see if Ross managed to be able to say Mission Accomplished!

WTF - Madonna not getting divorced!

Buy MORE tickets or he get's it!

Well not to long ago there was news that Madonna and Guy Ritchie would be getting a divorce.  But sources now say that the pair are planning to re-new their wedding vows in Kabbalah ceremony next month.

Despite claims the couple's marriage is on the rocks, Madonna and Ritchie will host a Shabbat Nachamu event to show family and friends they are still very much a couple. A source tells The Sun newspaper. "It's a very important dinner for them - they want everyone to know they are still in love."

The special ceremony will reportedly take place at the celebrity couple's British country estate, with two rabbis flying in from New York to officiate. The event will coincide with the celebration of the pop star's 50th birthday, according to the publication. Madonna turns 50 on August 16th.

So what's going on you two... was this just a ploy to sell more tickets to Madonna's World Tour??  I think so....Your Thoughts?  Comments!

What A Douche Bag

Chistopher Ciccone just keeps on digging that knife in Madonna's side. What kind of brother could be such a douche?

We've Been Hoping That This Was Not True...

Madonna_3But all signs point to TRUE. Madonna and Guy Richie have endured divorce rumors for an eternity now, and the rumor-mill began because the 2 are NEVER TOGETHER. They lead very separate lives as Guy currently lives in London and Madonna is living in New York City.

The Times of London, a very reputable newspaper, not a tabloid, is confirming the split. Madonna has indeed hired Sir Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, to represent her in the divorce. They also say that Guy has hired an attorney as well, a lesser known Mayfair Firm, Forsters.

Madonna's spokes person has yet to confirm or deny the reports...and we're so hoping that there's a denial soon. Poor Madge, she's got the worst luck when it comes to love.

Madonna: Hard Candy [Album Review]

05I have been anxiously waiting for the release of Madonna's new album Hard Candy for months now. Finally, today I got to quench my thirst for new Madonna...and happily I was not disappointed. I'm not going to lie, I was very nervous when I found out that Madonna was working on a R&B influenced album. Okay, I was petrified when I found out she was working with Timbaland. Not that he is not an AMAZING producer, because he is...he's just a far cry from Madonna's William Orbit days.

We all know that the line between pop and R&B is a line that pop princesses don't typically cross successfully...and with good reason. R&B is not an easy genre of music to do and do well. There just isn't a very high success rate for that cross over, and even with all her gloriousness, this was a BOLD move for Madonna. Thankfully, Madonna crossed the line in all the right ways and blurred the line between R&B and pop beautifully.

Some the highlights of Hard Candy were:

4 Minutes -Obviously this is a highlight. Even if you hated the song the first time you heard it, the infectious horn driven groove grows on you and you find yourself singing along involuntarily. Face it, youMadonnavanity_1720_3  love the song. We all do.

Heartbeat - 80's Synth mixed with a hot hip-hop beat=perfection. The synthesized vocal had me feeling it in my heartbeat.

Miles Away - Haven't we all been there? An unrequited love song, about how distance sometimes makes the heart grow fonder. Absolutely beautifully done.

Incredible - THIS SONG IS INCREDIBLE. There are so many elements layered on top of one another, none of which over powering the other. The vocal is perfect, the beat is thumping, the synthesized backdrop against piano is mixed to perfection. It's a little long...and starts to get a little annoying by the end of the song (all the "Boom!"s in there are really annoying), but it's worth the full listen.

Devil Wouldn't Recognize You - Reminiscent of her Ray of Light days with it's orbital sound effects layered over a R&B groove. The piano melody in the background of the song is beautiful, and this was Madge's strongest song on the album vocally.

Voices-As the song started, I was reminded of Erotica and Justify My Love, then was pleasantly surprised with it's airy melody against a really great beat. Then she mixes it up again in the chorus and adds a little Middle Eastern flavor to the melody. A definite favorite for me.

Buy this record. It's going to be out on tasty Tuesday 4/29...and it's definitely been worth the wait. Madonna is still the queen on pop now and forever.
