Carrie Underwood invited to join the Grand Ole Opry!

Carrie Underwood, American Idol winner from season 4 and clearly one of the few success stories from that taker of souls show, has been invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. The invitation was extended March 15th by Randy Travis who originally sang I Told You So recently covered by Underwood on her new album Carnival Ride.

Carrie made her Opry debut on June 10, 2005 just 2 weeks after winning American Idol. She will be formally inducted as an Opry Member May 10, 2008. Kudos!
