Chicago police said Monday that they have arrested William Balfour for the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and little nephew. At a closed hearing last month, investigators presented evidence that Balfour had a gun matching the weapon used in the October 24th slayings.

Balfour was the first and only suspect that the Chicago police considered in the wake of the murders. We were wondering why it was taking so long to officially charge him. Isn't it time to give that poor family some closure?
