The Lost Trailers - Hollerback [Album Review]

HollerbackI'm a true country boy at heart and I do love truly good country music.  So when I first heard The Lost Trailers first single "Holler Back"  I knew I wanted to hear more.  I was able to get my hands on a preview copy of their album which is due out August 26th 2008.  This is not however the first album from The Lost Trailers.  This is the first album for the group that has produced a Top 10 hit in country radio.  But with the group's great musical talent and singers Ryder Lee and Stokes Nielson at the helm it was only a matter of time before their own unique blend of country music would reach the masses!  Not to mention Ryder isn't so bad on the eyes either!

ThelosttrailersOn the album The Lost Trailers really show that they are proud to be "hometown and homegrown" boys with sentimental songs like "Some Things You Don't Grow Out Of" which really struck a chord with me personally from growing up in a rural small country town myself.  Other songs like "Blacktop Road" and "Country Folks Livin' Loud" both will take you back to your roots especially if you ever lived in any small town America.  The Lost Trailers give us a look at the more tender side of the group with songs like "How 'Bout You Don't " which is a great song about the gut wrenching pain of a tough breakup and is one of the strongest songs and next single contender in my opinion.

Overall The Lost Trailers album Holler Back is a great album and perfect for the country fan.

Pink ready to hit the scene - So What!

Pnk_sowhatThat's right "So What" is the new attitude recently divorced Pink has about life at the moment.  In the new single she proclaims in the childish "Nah Nah Nah Nah" that she has lost her husband and not going to be paying his rent.  Then goes on to proclaim she is a RockStar and that he is a tool!  The song is a certain hit and a welcome back to an artist who many didn't think would make it past her first incarnation... remember her then! (see video below if you don't)  I've added a YouTube video of the new single for you to listen to let us know what you think of Pink's new song "So What" and watch for the video premiere on August 22nd. P!nk's new album set for release Oct. 28th.

Here's a flash back for you P!nk's first single back in 2000 "There You Go"... seems like so long ago doesn't it!

He Ain't Hurtin' Nobody!

I love it when stars don't act like diva assholes. Check out Solange performing her single "I decided" and the stage crasher. The action starts around the 3:21 mark. Wonder if Beyonce would've done the same thing. Nah.

The Cure: The Perfect Boy

What a great way to start the morning. The Cure's video for their new single "The Perfect Boy". Thoughts?

Lennon Murderer Denied Parol

Mark20david20chapmanOn Tuesday, John Lennon's killer, Mark David Chapman, was denied parole for a fifth time.

Reports say he will remain in New York's Attica Correctional Facility for at least two more years for murdering the former Beatle outside his NYC apartment in 1980.

Parole board members say that Chapman has had a clean disciplinary record since 1994 but his release "would not be in the best interest of the community."

All I have to say is: GOOD.

Clay Aiken: Singer, Entertainer, Broadway "Star"...Father?

According to the Associated Press, Clay Aiken is a father.

I know, I couldn't believe it either...so you know I had to research this story some more. We all know that closeted fool is gay, and what straight woman of child bearing age would want some of that Clay Aiken booty? I can tell you, I've never met one under the age of 45, and those are those menopausal years when your mind is playing tricks on you so you don't know any better.

I found a story online that he actually donated the sperm to his friend and that's how the baby gravy came to be. Makes sense, a very satisfactory explanation of how Clay Aiken has managed to reproduce. It makes my heart smile when I hear that any of my gays have children, so good for him. Congratulations!

RALEIGH, N.C. - Former "American Idol" runner-up Clay Aiken is a father.

The 29-year-old crooner from Raleigh announced the birth of Parker Foster Aiken on his Web site's blog Friday. "No hyphens. One first name," he wrote. "One middle name. One last name." Aiken's mother, Faye, told Raleigh TV station WRAL the child was born in North Carolina.

Aiken was a favorite of fans during the second season of "American Idol," where he finished second to Ruben Studdard. His album "Measure of a Man" went double platinum in 2003, and he made his Broadway debut this spring in "Monty Python's Spamalot."

The baby's mother is Jaymes Foster, Aiken's friend and record producer whom he met while performing on "American Idol." Their son was born at 8:08 a.m. Friday, and weighed 6 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 inches long, according to the statement on the Web site.

"The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy," Aiken wrote. "Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also."

And now...a picture of Clay with our favorite hag ever!Clayaikentyrabanks
